By-laws

Bylaws will outline how the board and members will work together, what the roles are and how decision making will happen and other governance details. While some bylaws will be the same for each co-operative, some will need to be adapted to reflect your co-op’s structure and decisions.

Enterprise Saskatchewan has provided some details about bylaws to consider adapting for your co-op.

Co-opZone has some examples of bylaws for different types of co-ops.

As another type of resource - Guidelines for Co-operative Bylaws, by the University of Wisconsin Center for Cooperatives.
