Co-op Developer Training
This two-day training course is designed for those who want to know how to create a co-operative. The seminar explores the technical and practical aspects of forming a co-operative and how to assist those interested in starting a co-operative.
Participants are guided through the six step co-op development process, consisting of pre-development; group building and establishing the form of the co-operative; planning and organizing the co-operative’s business; finance; implementation and launch; aftercare and follow-up. Additional resources are also provided to participants.
The course will be of significant interest to:
- people who are interested in starting their own co-operative and want more information and direction,
- co-operative and community developers who work with individuals and groups that want to start a co-operative,
- government officials and others who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of the co-operative business model.
