Victoria Morris (Executive Director)

Victoria joined SCA in 2006, managing the Saskatchewan Co-operative Youth Program and other co-operative education programming. In 2008, the SCA Board appointed her Executive Director. She has worked in community economic development (CED), co-operatives and youth focused initiatives since 1998, in rural, urban and northern communities across the country. Her work to date has focused on youth engagement, multiculturalism, co-operative leadership, management, education and development, and communications and marketing.
In addition to working at SCA, she is Treasurer of the Canadian CED Network (CCEDNet) and Chair of the Canadian Co-operative Association's National Youth Caucus. Victoria anticipates completing the Master of Business Administration program, through Cape Breton University, in 2012. She is involved in several performing and visual arts endeavors, and when not at the office, can be found playing with fire, sparkles and sometimes pyrotechnics.
Heather Hale (Program Officer)

Heather grew up in Sceptre, Saskatchewan and is a graduate of the Saskatchewan Co-operative Youth Program. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from the University of Saskatchewan. Heather is passionate about engaged citizenship and has extensive experience working with youth from a variety of backgrounds, both locally and internationally. She has led youth projects for Katimavik in Alberta and Saskatchewan, completed surveys for Statistics Canada across Canada, has done youth education and research in Tanzania, and led youth programming in the areas of international development and alternative media for the Saskatchewan Council for International Co-operation.
Heather joined SCA in December of 2008 and recently took a 6 month leave to participate in the Canadian Co-operative Association’s International Youth Internship Program (IYIP) as the Micro-Enterprise Development Officer in Rwanda. In addition to her duties as Program Officer she also chairs the National Co-operative Youth Managers group. She enjoys playing dress up with hats, needle point, bad puns and fancy cheeses. Heather is often seen about town at local music halls, bus stops and falafel shops.
Frederick Khonje (Co-operative Development Officer)

Fred joined the SCA team in the spring of 2010. He is a University of Saskatchewan alumnus with undergraduate degrees in Sociology (Hon.) and Psychology; and he is a Cape Breton University alumnus with a Masters in Business Administration, in Community Economic Development (CED), specializing in leadership and governance.
Fred brings to SCA his considerable professional experience working with non-profit organizations and government. He has played a leading role in the development of housing co-operatives, as well as community development, and property management. While working for the Government of Saskatchewan he continued to expand his expertise of housing development and housing policy as a policy analyst.
In his extra time he enjoys volunteering with organizations, such as Station 20 West Corporation, Lakeview Free Methodist Church, and the Friendship Inn. He serves on number of boards and committees with organizations such as Quint Development Corporation, the Malawian Canadian Association of Alberta, Community First and the Uganda Canadian Association of Saskatchewan. In between work and volunteering, Fred is an avid basketball fan and is part of a team in the local Saskatoon Minor Basketball League.
Kim Vindeg Small (Administrative Assistant)

Kim joined the Saskatchewan Co-operative Association’s team in 2005. As half of the SCA administrative dynamic duo, Kim focuses on communications and all things financial, as well as day-to-day administrative duties. She enjoys the graphic design challenges of creating SCA’s newsletter the Co-operative Spotlight and other promotional items for SCA events. Kim is a graduate of Alberta College of Art and Design and Saskatoon Business College. Prior to joining SCA, Kim worked as the administrator of several local art galleries. A life-long resident of Saskatoon, Kim lives with her husband John and son Ian. An artist at heart, she maintains a painting studio in her home. Kim also enjoys live music and travel, and hopes to continue to pursue her travel passtime more in the future.
